Procedures - Neck Lift

Neck

Neck - Weight loss patients can often see changes to their neck and jawline following massive weight loss. Some patients retain fat in the neck which stays even after their weight loss while others may see a weight loss in the neck area leaving hanging skin loose. This condition is often referred to by patients as their turkey gobbler or turkey neck.

As the face looses fat sometimes the skin droops downward affecting the contour of the jaw line. Whatever the facial changes are the cosmetic surgery procedure to improve the appearance of the jawline and neck is a neck lift. Neck lifts can be done in coordination with a face lift or other procedures depending on the individual patients needs.

In the case of the person who does not have hanging skin, but has excess fat in the neck the fat can be removed with liposuction.
